Maryland Healthcare Prospects 2009
Another year nearly over, a year with a historic presidential election which included focus and debate on healthcare reform. Among the policies voters rejected: the "you're on your own" approach to healthcare as articulated by John McCain. Americans overwhelmingly supported a drastically different view of politics and government from that of McCain and Bush and the Republican Party. In short: the Reagan Era is over.
What does that mean for healthcare reform advocates? This new era, which some say calls for a "New New Deal," opens doors to progress not seen in a generation or more. Will we convert this opportunity into real progress? If so, what form will reform take? Stay tuned....
